McKenzie - Cantaloupe, Hearts of Gold Organic Seeds

Cantaloupe Hearts of Gold Organic Seeds are a dependable choice for gardeners looking to grow sweet, flavourful melons at home.

This classic variety produces round, well-netted fruit with thick, juicy orange flesh and a small seed cavity, giving you plenty to enjoy from every melon. Aromatic and sweet with thick, deep-orange flesh. Produces nearly round fruit 16.5 x 14 cm (6 1/2 x 5 1/2") in diameter and 1.6 -2 kg (3 1/2 -4 1/2 lbs).

A vigorous, very productive grower that is blight-resistant. Cantaloupes love heat, so give these plants a sunny location with warm, fertile, well-drained soil. In areas with a shorter growing season, starting seeds indoors can help give plants the head start they need before transplanting outdoors once the risk of frost has passed and the soil has warmed. Allow plenty of room for the vigorous vines to spread as they grow.

Its rich sweetness and refreshing flavour make Hearts of Gold a welcome addition to summer fruit trays, breakfasts, salads, and snacks straight from the garden.
